PPSC Housing Urban Development Department Jobs 2024:

Punjab Public Service Commission PPSC invites applications online for vacant positions in various departments under the supervision of the Punjab Government. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and reside in Punjab are qualified for these positions. It will be granted on a contractual five-year basis that can be extended upon satisfactory completion. Vacancies and their Eligibility Criteria: 

• Assistant Director (Engineering) Civil 13–Posts  Bachelors’ degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Male: 21 to 28 + 05 = 33 years Female: 21 to 28 + 08 = 36 years, Age and gender of the transgender will be based on the contents of their CNIC.
• NOTE: In case, a large number of applications are received, shortlisting shall be carried out on the basis of academic record of candidates or on the basis of one paper MCQs type Written Test.
  Syllabus of written test (if held): One paper MCQ Type Written Test of 100 Marks and 90 minutes duration. Syllabus is as under:- i) Qualifications related questions (80%) ii) General Knowledge including (20%) Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science and Basic Computer Studies
• Assistant Director (Engineering) Electrical 01–Post Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. same as above
• Assistant Director (Engineering) Mechanics 02–Posts Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university. Same as above
• Assistant Director (Legal) 06–Posts LL.B. with 2 years practice as an Advocate.

  NOTE: i) Candidate must have membership of concerned Bar Counsel issued on or before the closing date. ii) Experience certificate showing exact dates & containing complete information from President District Bar Association/ Sub Divisional Bar Association duly countersigned and affixing rubber stamp of District and Sessions Judge / Additional District & Session Judge concerned (in original) also having membership shall be submitted at the time of interview. Male: 26 to 40 + 05 = 45 years Female: 26 to 40 + 08 = 48 years. Age and  gender of the based  transgender on the contents of their CNIC. Test Criteria same as above.

• Assistant Director (Town Planning) 12–Posts B.Sc. in Town Planning from a recognized University.

  NOTE: i) B.Sc. in Town Planning or equivalent qualification i.e. B.Sc. City & Regional Planning can apply for the subject post. ii) Valid Permanent Registration with Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP) issued on or before the closing date is required.

How to Apply:

1. Please read the “General Instructions” regarding Application Fee, Written Test, Interview on PPSC website www.ppsc.gop.pk before applying online.

2. Employees of Semi Government and Autonomous Bodies of Federal Government or Provincial Government and those of Local Bodies are not entitled to age concession for the period of their service in such organization.

3. In case a candidate claims that his/her qualification is equivalent to the prescribed qualification, he/she will be required to submit equivalence certificate of his/her foreign/local qualification, issued by the Competent Authority of HEC/PMDC/PMC/PEC & QEDC of concerned Administrative Department, which will be accepted by the Commission as Final, at the time of interview or whenever asked by the Commission.

If a candidate fails to submit Equivalence Certificate issued by the Competent Authority at the time of interview or whenever asked by the Commission, his/her candidature shall be cancelled.

4. In case, a candidate claims experience of private firm / entity, he / she must bring proof at the time of interview that the firm /entity is registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms or any other Regulatory Authority, failing which his / her application shall be rejected. Candidate must provide proof of registration showing that the concerned private entity had the status of a registered body during the period of experience claimed by the candidate.

5. The candidates will ensure that after applying for a particular post they will immediately apply for Departmental Permission Certificate/NOC in their concerned Department(s) and provide the Departmental Permission Certificate/NOC at the time of interview (if called).

6. The candidates just after applying for a particular post advertised by PPSC will ensure that they have obtained/applied for registration in PEC/PNC/PMDC/PMC/PVMC or other relevant body for Registration Certificate on or before the Closing Date and provide the same at the time of interview (if called).
