NUST was set up in 1991 by combining the military and civil educational centers. Since its creation, all military schools and colleges are part of the colleges of NUST. Initially NUST was affiliated with MCS in 1991. Later in the year 1993, the NUST University was given a charter and then CEME and MCE also joined the NUST University. The number of members increased in the years 1994 and 1995 and CAE and PNEC became part of NUST.

The affiliated colleges were upgraded in 1994 and November 1995. Today, NUST University offers a number of courses including engineering, business studies and social sciences. Eligibility Criteria:

The admission for the 2024 academic year will be granted on a merit-based basis. A total of 60% is necessary in HSSC or equivalent. Any student who has passes his O LEVELS, A LEVELS or equivalent from any foreign university has to provide the equal-ency as given by IBCC. The DAE students can also apply if they have scored 60% in the stated exams.

Computer Science and Engineering are welcoming applications for the fall semester. Candidates who have already applied for computer science or engineering will not be required to apply for BA Mathematics and Physics. The faculties of engineering, computer sciences and natural sciences offer a variety of graduate and undergraduate programs that provide the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging problems in modern science and technology. The applications are welcome in the faculties of engineering, computer sciences and natural sciences.

The candidates who have failed in the HSSC or have less than 60% in the exam cannot apply. The candidates who have foreign qualifications like O levels or A levels are not acceptable in the absence of an equivalent certificate from IBCC. The candidates who have been expelled from any university are also not eligible to apply.

After applying online along with the correct email address, the students will be contacted back providing a fee challan. The fee will be deposited in any branch of Habib Bank Limited. The distinction holder in any board exam are exempted from the application processing fees.
