What is the GAT special test?
The General Aptitude Test (GAT) is an entrance examination conducted by the Institute of Southern Punjab for admission to undergraduate and graduate programs in colleges and universities in the state. The test is divided into two parts, Part I and Part II. The aim of the GAT is to assess a candidate’s ability to reason and solve problems intelligently.
Part I of the GAT comprises questions from mathematics, physics, chemistry, economics and English literature. Candidates are expected to answer at least 50% of these questions correctly. Part II of the GAT consists of six papers, each carrying 60 questions. Candidates are expected to answer at least 36 questions correctly from each paper.

GAT SPECIAL TEST II 2024:
The Institute of Southern Punjab (ISP) has announced the schedule for the GAT Special Test II exam which will be conducted in the month of January. The test will be held in two stages and the first stage is scheduled to commence from 20 December, 2022. Candidates who wish to appear in the first stage of the test need to apply online through ISP’s website. A roll number slip is also required for this process.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have completed 16 years of education to be eligible. Preference will be given to those who have passed the NTS-ISP-ADMIT test, though those who are successful in the NTS-GAT test are also acceptable. Those with less than 16 years of education are not eligible.
To apply for admission to the Institute of Southern Punjab (ISP) 2024, applicants need to pass either the General Aptitude Test (GAT) conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS), or alternatively, the ISP-ADMIT test, also offered by NTS. A minimum score of 60% is required to pass GAT, while the application processing fee must be paid to NTS for the ISP-ADMIT test.
