HEC Law Admission 2024 LAT Test Schedule Registration Deadline Roll No Slip

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced that admission to the 5-year LLB program will now only be granted to those candidates who pass the Law Admission Test (LAT). The LAT will be administered twice a year and the results will remain valid for two years. The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) will be responsible for administering the LAT. The LAT will be free of charge and no admission fees will be collected for it.

Syllabus Entry Test:

The HEC ETC Law Admission Test (LAT) is a comprehensive exam designed to evaluate the academic and professional abilities of prospective law students. The exam includes an essay writing component in Urdu and English (200 words; 15 marks), a personal statement writing component in English or Urdu languages (10 marks), MCQs on English paper topics such as synonyms/antonyms/prepositions (20 marks), general knowledge MCQs (20 marks), Islamic studies MCQs (10 marks), Pakistan studies MCQs (10 marks), Urdu MCQs on vocabulary (10 marks), and basic mathematics MCQs (5 marks). The total marks for the Law Admission Test LAT is 100 and the passing mark is 50.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students who have passed the HSSC Part 2 exam, A-Level or any equivalent course are eligible to apply for the HEC Law Admission Test (LAT). Students who are waiting for their Inter Part Two or equivalent exam results can also apply for LAT. It is important to note that the result of such exam must be received and attested by the concerned institution before the deadline for LAT application.
