The Balochistan Public Service Commission, or BPSC, was established on 13th August 1973. From 1970 to 1973, a joint Commission for the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan was responsible for meeting the recruitment requirements of the Civil Services of Balochistan. The Balochistan Public Service Commission is regulated by the Balochistan Public Service Commission Act, 1989 and the BPSC (Functions) Rules, 1995, by Article 242 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan 1973.
